Rainbow Mountain via Pitumarca

Itinerary

CUSCO – PICUMARCA – RAINBOW MOUNTAIN :

• We can start this beautiful tour leaving from Cusco between 4:00 am to 6:00 am, depending on the passenger, passing through Urcos, Cusipata (1:30 hrs approx.) Where we will enjoy a nutritious semi-buffet breakfast which will last approximately 50 minutes.
• We will continue our journey through the community of PITUMARCA, where we will move in our mobility to the starting point for approximately 2 more hours. We will start our walk at 4700 m a.s.l. around 9:00 a.m., from where we will start a walk of approximately 30 minutes (2.5 km) at the foot of the Ausangate.
• Approximately until we reach the highest point where we can appreciate the Rainbow Mountain, during this tour we will have the opportunity to see the different varieties of South American camelids as well as the flora and fauna of the place, arriving at the Rainbow Mountain we will have time to take pictures of this enigmatic place approximately 20 minutes.
• Later we will continue our descent in the same way, walking about 30 minutes, arriving to the point where our mobility awaits us to head towards the restaurant where we have breakfast in Cusipata where our delicious semi-buffet lunch awaits us, we will have 1 hour to enjoy and relax.
• Finally we will return to Cusco making our last stop near the main square located in the city center.
