An archaeological site hidden between the Andes at more than 4300 meters above sea level, built in times before the Incas and rebuilt in the time of the Incas, a place that holds many mysteries, a beautiful construction similar to a fortress where the knowledge of the architecture of the ancient inhabitants of this area will be questioned.
Itinerary
CUSCO-ACOMAYO-SANGARARA-WAQRAPUKARA
- We start with the early pick-up in the morning between 04:30 am to 05:00 am with the pick-up of our transport from your lodging, we will pass through small villages to the south of Cusco until the village of Cusipata.
- DESSAYONE: Breakfast in the village of Cusipata around 7:00 a.m.
- SANTA LUCIA: Then we head towards Poma Canchis, we pass through the community of Toccorani and from there to the community of Santa Lucia.
- WAQRAPUKARA: Arriving at the place we will start our visit with our guide where we will visit the Inti Punku, the Tower, main square, enclosures and cave paintings, the enclosure of Wiracocha, the Intihuatana and the platforms.
- ALMOERZO: After the visit of the archaeological site, we will return to the transport by the same route (2 hours approx.), we will go to the town of Cusipata to enjoy a delicious lunch and then go directly to the city of Cusco.
- Finally we will return to Cusco making our last stop near the main square located in the city center.
